SWACH Workshop on Knowledge Construction Planning Strengthens Water Management in Cuenca

The SWACH Project, in coordination with ETAPA EP, carried out a workshop on Knowledge Construction Process Planning, focused on planning, dialogue and co-design as key tools to strengthen water management in Cuenca.

This space had as its central purpose the strengthening of the construction and systematization of knowledge generated through scientific research, with the aim of transforming the results of the SWACH project into effective inputs and tools for water management and local decision-making. To achieve this, efforts focused on connecting scientific evidence with the real needs of ETAPA EP and other key stakeholders in the territory.

Through a conference led by an expert, collaborative working sessions, and a plenary discussion, participants shared experiences, reflections, and proposals, enabling the definition of common guidelines to transform scientific knowledge into practical actions with a direct impact on water management and the sustainable development of Cuenca.

Events like this reaffirm the importance of collaboration between academia and public institutions and strengthens the commitment of SWACH and ETAPA EP to work together in addressing the challenges of climate change, reinforcing adaptation and knowledge-based decision-making.

We continue advancing to ensure that research generates action and real benefits for Cuenca.
