SWACH participated in the event for the International Day of Women and Girls in Science

In the framework of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the SWACH Project participated in a fair with students from two schools, Fe y Alegria and Asuncion, creating a space that brought them closer to the world of research and science.

During the event, scientific curiosity was encouraged, and students—especially girls—were motivated to envision themselves as future researchers, highlighting the importance of their participation in fields related to knowledge and sustainability.

The SWACH team shared information about the project and explained how the smart sensors used to measure household water consumption work, demonstrating how science and technology are part of everyday life.

The initiative also reinforced messages of responsibility and water conservation, inviting participants to reflect on unnecessary uses of drinking water, such as its use for games during the Carnival season, while promoting more sustainable alternatives.

These initiatives help raise awareness from an early age and strengthen commitment to water conservation and the construction of a more sustainable future for the city.
