About Us

Sustainable Water Management for Cuenca under Climate Change Scenarios (SWACH) is a project funded mainly by VLIR-UOS. With the cooperation of different institutions such as the Municipality of Cuenca, ETAPA-EP, the Universidad de Cuenca and the Universidad del Azuay, the project seeks to understand water availability for the city of Cuenca over the next 30 years. It also studies citizens’ water consumption habits and population projections in order to develop strategies that help ensure a safe drinking water supply for the city.
